Following on from our report about a new memorial bench in Edinburgh to mark the 40th anniversary of the withdrawal from Aden (see UKNIWM report) another memorial marking the anniversary of this conflict has been dedicated in Plymouth.
The new memorial stone on Plymouth Hoe commemorates the 90 service personnel who died in the 3 year conflict.
The Aden Veterans’ Association are to unveil a memorial bench at Edinburgh Castle to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the British withdrawal from Aden.

We’re currently aware of 32 memorial in the UK that commemorate the service and casualities of the British Armed Forces in Aden (now part of Yemen) in the 1960s.
