Scottish National War Memorial

An event was held yesterday at the Scottish National War Memorial in Edinburgh, to mark the 80th anniversary of the memorial being opened to the public.

It was attended by the First Minister, Alex Salmond, and other political, military and religious leaders. 

The Scottish National War Memorial consists of a large stone hall and shrine, with a Book of Remembrance that lists all Scots who have been killed in action since 1914.
