Founded in 1989, the UK National Inventory of War Memorials is working to compile a record of all war memorials in the UK and to promote their appreciation, use and preservation.

There are currently details of over 60,000 UK memorials recorded in our online database, with more being added all the time.
The UKNIWM is an archival register at Imperial War Museum, London. We currently have one full time member of staff, eight part-time office volunteers and over 150 volunteer fieldworkers.
